Peverley's status still unkown for Ducks game

ANAHEIM, CARich Peverley will take pregame warm-ups for the second straight game, but thats where the similarities might end this time around.

Peverley said hes practicing patience prior to Sundays matinee against the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center that will conclude their Pacific road trip, and didnt give any hints as to where he plans on playing for the first time since Feb. 15.

Ill go out for warm-ups again and see how I feel, said Peverley. Im anxious to play but I have to wait and see what the doctors and trainers tell me. We need to make sure were being smart about it.

Peverley has missed 25 games with assorted lower body injuries and has missed the last six weeks with a sprained right knee, but has been skating with the Bruins for the last 10 days in anticipation of his return. The right wing was skating with Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Jordan Caron during practices earlier in this week, and will likely replace Caron, Benoit Pouliot or Brian Rolston in the lineup.

But Pouliot, Rolston and Chris Kelly have combined for 20 points and a plus-20 in their last five games while serving as Bostons best line, so it would be difficult for Claude Julien to break it up.

If Peverley doesnt play then hell essentially get two days off the ice prior to ramping it up Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and could be served with a couple of rest days after pushing the knee with some intense practices over the last week.
