Let's take a moment to recognize the brave Dwight Howard.
As Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy points out, the guy isn't getting enough credit right now. Not for being No. 2 in the NBA for both rebounds and blocks, and No. 3 in double doubles. SVG wants the world to applaud Howard for keeping his murderous rage in check.
"I think he has settled down," the coach said. "He's gotten two technicals in the last month and he hasn't gotten any for arguing. His problems were early in the year when he got a lot of arguing calls. Lately what he's gotten is two for retaliating for hits he's taken after the whistle and I think to be quite honest he's already had great restraint on those plays.
I would say his control is amazing."
WGS wanted to talk to Howard yesterday about keeping his temper in check, but he was too busy being suspended. The one-game sentence was served Monday night after he picked up his 16th technical of the season on Friday.
The most impressive aspect of Howard's turnaround is that he's done it despite NBA commissioner David Stern's best attempts to imprison him in a North Korean labor camp. Or something.
"This is the system," Van Gundy said of the suspension." David Stern and his minions like it. And I certainly can't have an opinion because David Stern, like a lot of leaders we've seen in this world lately, don't really tolerate other people's opinions or free speech or anything. So I'm not really allowed to have an opinion, so it's up to him. He does not tolerate freedom of speech when it comes to NBA issues. He's the only opinion."
Someone needs to tell teammate Gilbert Arenas that Howards fouls arent dumb
hes being persecuted. Take a look at the evidence:

As SVG said, Howard is the one getting hit. Its self-defense! Thats why we should applaud the poise hes shown this season.
Here are other examples of Superman trying to do his thing and weakling opponents getting all bent out of shape about being concussed or bleeding and stuff.
Stupid. Thats the kind of oversensitivity that gives fundamentalists like Howie a bad rap. Really, it should point out the flaws of David Sterns Marxist regime. But you know what? Howard has only been suspended once so far. Clearly, the big guys not taking the bait.
Jokes on you, Stern. There's only one future for dictators.
