Jackie Bradley Jr. honored with standing ovation at South Carolina game

Jackie Bradley Jr. had a lot more to brag about in his latest trip back to his alma mater.

The Boston Red Sox outfielder is making the rounds this weekend at South Carolina, where he spent three years on the Gamecocks' baseball team.

His latest stop Saturday night: South Carolina's football game against Chattanooga, where the crowd at Williams-Brice Stadium gave the 2018 World Series champion a rousing ovation as he was introduced.

Bradley actually wasn't the only Boston athlete at the game; New England Patriots cornerback and fellow Gamecock Stephon Gilmore also joined JBJ on the sideline.

Bradley had an epic career in Columbia -- he was the Most Outstanding Player of the 2010 South Carolina team that won the College World Series -- but it's safe to say he raised the bar in Boston this year. The 28-year-old won his first Gold Glove award and was named the American League Championship Series MVP en route to earning a World Series ring.
