If anyone knows what a heated Red Sox-Yankees matchup is like, it's Pedro Martinez.
After Tyler Austin was plunked by a Joe Kelly pitch and charged the mound to start a bench-clearing brawl, Pedro reacted with a trio of tweets. It was exactly the kind of reaction you would expect from the former Sox ace, as he said he would have hit Austin with a pitch earlier rather than later.
Martinez went on to say that sliding with cleats up is pretty much asking for a fight, and mentioned the game is being "babied too much nowadays".
Former Red Sox closer Keith Foulke chimed in with a tweet of his own, a simple thumbs up to Kelly for beaning Austin.
