NBC News reported today that Stephen Paddock, who killed at least 59 people and wounded more than 500 by firing automatic weapons from a 32nd-floor window of the Mandalay Bay Hotel at Las Vegas concert-goers below, had researched potential locations in Chicago and Boston earlier this year, including hotels around Fenway Park:
Officials say there's no indication Paddock ever traveled to either Boston or Chicago.
