Steven Wright still has to face potential punishment from Major League Baseball for the domestic assault charge that took a step toward a dismissal last month, but the Red Sox knuckleballer avoided arbitration and agreed to a one-year, $1.1 million deal with Boston, NBC Sports Boston Red Sox Insider Evan Drellich confirms.

Wright, 33, had his season cut short in April by a knee injury. He was an All-Star in 2016, going 13-6 in 24 starts with a 3.33 ERA before he was famously injured while pinch-running in August of that season.
