Sox lurking in the background

Between the start of the Celtics playoff run, the end of the Bruins playoff run, and Bill Belichick taking hostage of the NFL Draft, the Red Sox have faded into the background of the Boston sports scene.

And just the Sox luck, the spotlight went out just in time for them to catch fire.

"Fire" is obviously a relative term here, seeing that they've only won four games in a row, and haven't beaten the cream of the MLB crop. But hey, what else can we ask for? The Sox four game win streak is tied for the second longest in the majors. It's the Sox longest since August 9. It's moved them within three and a half games of first place. Of course, there's a long way to go. The Sox will have plenty of time in the spotlight this summer, and what they do then will have a much greater baring what becomes of this season. But for now, it's nice to know that while no one is paying attention the Sox are taking care of business.

And with that, we return you to your regularly scheduled Draft coverage.
