Adrian Wojnarowski believes it ‘would be hard for Kyrie Irving to walk away' from Boston

Although there is some uncertainty regarding Kyrie Irving's future in Green and White, a reliable NBA Insider says Celtics fans should have nothing to fear... at least not yet.

On The Woj Pod (27:43), ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski implied he would be surprised if Irving ended up signing elsewhere when he hits free agency in 2019.

“I still would take Boston against the rest of the field. I still think in the end there comes a moment of truth when you look around, and you have to make a decision about somewhere else. And when you really start inspecting the questions that are in almost any other circumstance he would go to, you would say: ‘Boy, it’s pretty good here.’ … I still think it is going to be really hard to walk away from this [Boston].”

Irving has been rumored to have interest in teaming up with close friend Jimmy Butler (currently with the Timberwolves), who also will be a free agent next summer. The Knicks have been speculated as a possible destination for the star point guard.

Celtics coach Brad Stevens has already stated he will not talk to Irving about free agency this season.
