BOSTON -- Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork admits the current work stoppage in the National Football League has him thinking -- at least a little -- about never playing again.
"I'm going on eight years and I'm healthy," said the Pats' All-Pro. "The Lord blessed me to play as long as I did with no major injuries . . .
"I tell my wife all the time, I can get used to retirement. She kind of looked at me kind of crazy, but at the same time, I'm being truthful."
Although Judge Susan Nelson's ruling technically lifted the lockout, Wilfork said he'll wait until there's a settlement before reporting back to the Pats.
"I won't head to Foxboro until everything's over," he said. "I don't think that's the right play in this situation."
