Fox Business Network "has learned" that the Red Sox are "mulling a potential sale" and "have been quietly shopping the team to potential buyers."
They have denied the rumor, but Charlie Gasparino of FBN says "there has been talk for some time that the team is informally gauging interest in the club."
Manager Bobby Valentine told the media Thursday that he's not interested in putting together a group to buy the Sox.
"I couldnt get a group together to buy a Little League team."
