Trailing by eight points and with one second left to play in regulation, the Bears nearly had some divine intervention on a pass from quarterback Mitch Trubisky to running back Tarik Cohen that, after several laterals, cutbacks and zig-zags, fell just one yard short of paydirt.
Cohen, who caught the ball at the Packers' 30-yard-line, lateralled back to Trubisky at the 20-yard-line, who then churned upfield before pitching to tight end Jesper Horsted at the 15. Horsted was dragged to the ground around the seven-yard-line during his attempt to toss the ball to Allen Robinson.
Had Horsted gotten rid of the ball a tick sooner, the Bears may have scored. They would've needed a two-point conversion to tie the game, but if Chicago's season is truly over after Week 15, it was a crazy and whacky way to conclude what's been a disappointing roller coaster of a year.
