The bad news just won't stop coming for Rutgers.
The Scarlet Knights announced Saturday before kickoff against Kansas that senior defensive lineman Darius Hamilton, the team's best defensive player, will miss the remainder of the season with a lower body injury.
Hamilton was a second-team All-Big Ten selection last season, starting all 13 games and leading the Knights with 11.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.

Hamilton was voted a team captain in 2014 and 2015.
Hamilton played in just one game this season, appearing in last week's 28-3 loss to Penn State. His limited action brings up the possibility of a redshirt season.
It's just more bad news for Rutgers, which is currently without head coach Kyle Flood and best offensive player Leonte Carroo due to a pair of separate suspensions. This season has been dominated by negative headlines, including the intentional university rule-breaking of Flood and the flurry of arrests and dismissals.
