Former Michigan cornerback Blake Countess will finish out his college career in the SEC.

Countess, who announced his transfer from Michigan earlier this month, announced Tuesday that he'll play his final year of eligibility at Aurbun. Having already earned his degree, he's eligible to play immediately.

Accompanied by a picture of the Auburn logo, he had this to say Tuesday on Instagram:

"Excited to attack the next chapter in my life! #WarEagle"

Countess starred for the Wolverines in the secondary in each of the past two seasons. He grabbed six interceptions as a redshirt sophomore two years ago. He started 10 games last season.

This what he wrote on Instagram back on May 13:

"My past four years here at the University of Michigan have been great! Nothing but love and appreciation for Ann Arbor, the faculty, the coaches, the support staff and the great fans, but after many sleepless nights and much prayer I have decided to play my final year of eligibility elsewhere. I truly thank those that have been there for me and hope you would continue to do so."

Michigan's starting cornerbacks now figure to be Jourdan Lewis and Stanford graduate transfer Wayne Lyons.
