Well, it looks like it's time to remove another candidate from Ohio State's coaching search.
Wednesday night, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reported that Creighton's Greg McDermott met with Ohio State, was a "serious candidate" to succeed Thad Matta and was offered the job.
Thursday morning, McDermott tweeted out that he's staying with the Bluejays.

McDermott is the latest coach to make it known that he's not going to Columbus, making the Buckeyes' search in the wake of Matta's firing all the more complicated.
First came Chris Mack, the Xavier head coach who seemed like a logical candidate considering his success in the state of Ohio. His tweet Wednesday morning was significantly more cryptic, though it seemed an attempt to tamp down any speculation that he might leave for Ohio State.
Then came the Wednesday-night buzz created when a report linked Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg to Ohio State's search. While Twitter went nuts over a potential return to the college ranks for Hoiberg, the former Iowa State head coach let it be known that he had no interest in the Buckeyes' head-coaching job.
So the search goes on for athletics director Gene Smith, who determined earlier this week that the combination of recruiting misses and a decline in win totals made ending the Matta Era necessary.
