DALLAS -- Patrick Sharp scored twice and Corey Crawford stopped 20 of 21 shots as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Dallas Stars 4-1 at the American Airlines Center on Friday night.

The Blackhawks scored two goals in the first 1:42 of the game. Dave Bolland gave the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead just 10 seconds in, the second-fastest goal to start a game in franchise history -- Brent Sutter still holds the record, a lead eight seconds in against the Vancouver Canucks on Feb. 5, 1995.

Hossa and Sharp added goals in the first 1:45 of the third period to get up to a 4-0 lead.

Stars forward Jamie Benn stymied Crawford's bid for a shutout, scoring with less than six minutes remaining in regulation.

The Blackhawks remain in sixth place in the Western Conference.
