For the first time since being placed on injured reserve Dec. 27, Corey Crawford skated in Chicago and is expected to do so again Sunday, Joel Quenneville told reporters in Calgary, as he takes the next step in his recovery process.

Quenneville has consistently said the Blackhawks won't know exactly when Crawford (upper body injury) could potentially return to the lineup until he gets back on the ice, so it's certainly a positive sign that he felt well enough to move to on-ice workouts even though there was no report on how he felt afterwards.
The Blackhawks had initially hoped the 33-year-old netminder would get on the ice during the All-Star break weekend, but it never got past light workouts.
The Blackhawks wrap up a four-game road trip against the Flames on Saturday then return to Chicago, where Quenneville will likely get a better feel for how Crawford progressed over the last couple days.
