After taking high school outfielder Albert Almora with their first-round pick Monday, the Cubs utilized their two supplemental picks to nab a pair of college pitchers.

The supplemental picks (43rd and 56th overall) were acquired when Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Pena, two Type B free agents, signed with the Brewers and Rays, respectively.

Here's more on the two draft picks:

Pierce Johnson, Rd. 1, Pick No. 43, RHP

Height: 6-3
Weight: 175
DOB: 51091

Johnson, a college pitcher out of Missouri State, has three pitches with a fastball that can dial up to 94 mph, according to MLB.com. He also boasts a curve and a changeup, but had some concerns about health as a forearm strain caused his draft stock to fall. MLB.com profiles Johnson as a potential No. 3 starter in the big leagues.
