Kris Dunn visits young basketball campers, former coach at Providence

This offseason has been busy for Bulls guard Kris Dunn. He has been active in trying to give back to the community on top of the usual offseason plans for most NBA players, which include spending some quality time with friends and family.

Dunn usually makes time every offseason to go back home—Dunn is from New London, Connecticut—and this year was no different as he made sure to get some workouts in and share his life experiences and words of advice with the youth.

This summer, Dunn made quite a few kids happy as he surprised them with his presence and even signed a few autographs while stopping by Providence College (AKA "Friartown") to chat with former Providence Men's Basketball coach and current ESPN. SNY and NBC Sports Boston analyst Tim Welsh.

Dunn is heading into a crucial year, the fourth season of his NBA career. While many assume his time in Chicago will be coming to an end, Dunn will be still looking to have an individually great season as he looks to secure a new deal ahead of his potential free agency in 2021, restricted or otherwise.

As Dunn chases a secure NBA future, he does not forget to keep his past in focus and strives to make things better for the youth, especially those youngsters who have had similar life experiences.
