WATCH: The fancy sequence of Bulls' fans dreams

For one play in Charlotte, the Bulls' future became a very good version of the team's present.

Hornets center Cody Zeller drove to the lane with a head of steam, but Wendell Carter Jr. was there for a strong rejection. Chandler Hutchison came up with the rebound and the Bulls went the other way. Hutchison then gave a no-look pass to Zach LaVine, who showed off his dunking ability to finish off the sequence.

Both Carter and Hutchison are rookies and LaVine is a key piece of the Bulls' core. To see all three players combine for such a highlight-worthy play was a glimpse of what fans want the team's future to look like.

With Lauri Markkanen and Bobby Portis out with injuries, Hutchison made the first start of his career.

That one sequence was pretty, but the Hornets reached the century mark before the end of the third quarter so there weren't enough plays like that one on Friday. The Bulls got their first win of the season against the Hornets two days before in Chicago, but trailed by as many as 28 points in the third.
