Devin Hester is reportedly hanging up the cleats.

The 34-year-old former Bear told a reporter following the Seattle Seahawks' 36-20 playoff loss to the Atlanta Falcons that he's retiring from the National Football League after 11 seasons. He signed a contract with the Seahawks on Jan. 4, and accumulated 194 return yards in the loss.

Hester is the most profilic kick returner in NFL history with 20 career touchdowns. All but one of them came while in a Bears uniform, where he spent eight seasons.

He remains the only player in league history to return the opening kickoff of a Super Bowl for a touchdown, and did so as a rookie against the Indianapolis Colts during the 2006 season.
