Kevin White is heading to injured reserve, and the Bears don't know if he'll be able to return this season.
John Fox told reporters Monday that White, who left Sunday's season-opening loss to the Atlanta Falcons with a shoulder injury, has a fractured scapula.
If this latest injury does cost White the remainder of the 2017 campaign, it will be his third season-ending injury in as many seasons as a pro. The Bears' first-round pick in 2015, White missed the majority of the past two seasons with leg injuries. Sunday was just White's fifth regular-season game as a pro.
The loss of White is particularly bad news for the Bears considering their wide receiver situation. Cameron Meredith suffered a season-ending injury during the preseason, meaning the Bears could play 15 of their 16 games this season without the guys who were at the top of the depth chart just a couple weeks ago.
