McCown dissed by Viking?

It wasnt exactly Brian Urlacher describing Tim Tebow the quarterback as a good running back, but Jared Allen didnt really have a fix on what kind of quarterback Josh McCown is.

He did a heck of a job handing the ball off, Ill tell you that much, because the Bears ran the stuff out of the ball, the Minnesota Vikings defensive end said Wednesday. Ill have to watch more film to really kind of get what hes doing.

The Bears dont have to watch more film to know what Allen is doing. He is a starter in the Pro Bowl with his league-leading 18.5 sacks and he has a higher personal goal that could directly affect the health of one Josh McCown.

Heck, 22.5 will be a personal goal, Allen said, laughing, referring to the NFL single-season sack record. Honestly, my only real goal this year was to try to get to 17 because that was going to put me at 100 for my career. Now that Im in this spot, my real goal is to try to hang on to the sack lead for the league, obviously for the season.

Six of the top seven pass rushers, based on sack totals are from the NFC going into the final weekend: Allen (18.5), Demarcus Ware, Dallas (18), Jason Babin, Philadelphia (18), Jason Pierre-Paul, New York, Aldon Smith, San Francisco (14) and Chris Long, St. Louis (13). Terrell Suggs, Baltimore (13), is the only AFC representative in the top seven.

Julius Peppers (10) is the highest-ranked Bear, tied at No. 14 with Andre Carter of New England and Trent Cole of Philadelphia.
