According to a tweet from Brad Biggs, the Chicago Bears have signed linebackers Xavier Adibi and K.C. Asiodu and defensive end Aston Whiteside.
In corresponding moves, the Bears have released DT Ronnie Cameron and CB Jeremy Ware.
Adibi was selected by the Houston Texans as a fourth-round draft pick out of Virginia Tech in 2008. He played three seasons with the Texans, recording 68 tackles and a forced fumble. He was signed off waivers last year by the Minnesota Vikings and appeared in four games.
Asiodu went undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft, and has spent time with the St. Louis Rams (2009) and the New Orleans Saints (2010).
The special teams contributor appeared in 10 games for the Rams in 2009 and made one appearance with the Saints.
He also spent time on the Rams and Miami Dolphins' practice squads in 2009. He was released in August by the Packers last year.
Whiteside went undrafted out of Abilene Christian and, at 6-foot-2, 260 pounds, may project as an outside linebacker.
Bears Insider John "Moon" Mullin confirmed the report, and also said the Bears expect Brian Urlacher to return to practice today.
