Add another to the list of teams wanting to interview Adam Gase.

One day after Tom Coughlin stepped down from his position, the New York Giants requested permission to interview the Bears' offensive coordinator, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

The Giants join the Eagles, Browns and Dolphins as teams considering Gase for their respective head coaching vacancies.

Gase was a finalist for the 49ers opening last season before the team hired Jim Tomsula, who was fired Sunday.

Gase instead followed John Fox from Denver to Chicago. The Bears dealt with injuries at the wide receiver position - rookie Kevin White, Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett missed 28 games and all ended the year on IR - and finished 21st in offense and 23rd in points per game. Jay Cutler threw 11 interceptions, the fewest of his career since 2011.
