Blackhawks fans, the day has come.
Jonathan Toews officially announced Sunday morning that he has joined Twitter, gaining more than 12,000 followers in less than an hour of existence.

The captain wrote in his first tweet: "Better late than never eh Twitter? Got some catching up to do!"
Even his teammates got in on the fun.
Shaw's tweet prompted a response from Toews, who is already getting the hang of Twitter.
