Blackhawks Charities donating to tornado relief effort

Chicago Blackhawks Charities will be donating their portion of Sunday's Split the Pot raffle during Game 3 against the Nashville Predators in an effort to aid those affected by the recent tornadoes in Fairdale and Rochelle.

That money will be going to the Illinois Tornado Relief Effort, which supports nonprofit agencies that provide disaster relief and recovery efforts to the communities hit hardest by the tornadoes.

In addition to the Split the Pot contributions, fans in attendance can also make donations to the Illinois Tornado Relief Effort at Gates 2, 3, 6 and 7, as well as any concession or retail stands throughout the United Center. Blackhawks Charities will match all fan donations.

There's a Split the Pot raffle at each Blackhawks home game during the year. Half of the proceeds go to the winner, while the other half will benefit Blackhawks Charities to help with their efforts throughout the Chicagoland area.
