Forward Marcus Kruger is headed to the Chicago Blackhawks according to the Djurgardens hockey website. The 5-foot-11, 172-pound Kruger has played center for Djurgardens IF. He was the Blackhawks' fifth-round selection (149th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The Blackhawks are going through some injury issues right now. Patrick Sharp suffered a left knee injury Sunday against the Phoenix Coyotes. His status is not known at this time. Center Dave Bolland has been sidelined with a concussion since taking a Pavel Kubina elbow to the head on March 9. There has been very little change in his progress.

The Blackhawks have banned the four fans — who were ejected from Saturday's game against the Washington Capitals for their racist remarks towards Capitals forward Devante Smith-Pelly — from future home games.
On Monday, a Blackhawks spokesperson released this statement:
We have contacted the select individuals involved in the incident on Saturday to notify them that they are no longer welcome at our home games. Racist comments and other inappropriate behavior are not tolerated by the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks also wanted to remind fans that they can alert security at the United Center by texting the following to 69050: UCASSIST <SPACE> followed by the seating section, row and a brief description of the issue.
The Blackhawks dealt defenseman Michal Kempny to the Washington Capitals for a third-round pick. Kempny had seven points in 31 games this season.
Kempny, 27, recorded 15 points in 81 career games for the Blackhawks. He tallied an assist in Saturday's 7-1 victory over the Capitals.
Kempny signed a one-year extension through the end of this season back in May.
