Blackhawks Road Ahead: Keith nearing a return to the lineup

Pat Boyle and Blackhawks Insider Tracey Myers have the latest on Joel Quenneville's group in this edition of the Blackhawks Road Ahead, sponsored by Chicagoland NW Indiana Honda dealers.

The Blackhawks hope this weekend could solve two issues for them: Losing on the road and struggles on defense.

With a big time showdown with the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center on tap on Saturday, coach Joel Quenneville is hoping his squad can turn around their 1-5 road record.

One way to fix it could be the return of Duncan Keith, who Quenneville said is close to returning.

But will Q use his best defender on Saturday or wait until a home tilt the following day against the Calgary Flames?

"Coach Joel Quenneville was telling us he's very close to being ready," Myers said. "Also Michal Roszival. If I had to choose between those two, I think I'd put him in the home game. Taking that back-to-back would be tough coming off the surgery."
