A couple from Tampa Bay names their son after Lightning goalie Ben Bishop

Meet Bishop Hugh Freeman.

He was born on Tuesday, weighs eight pounds and is 20.5 inches tall. He was also named after Lightning goalie Ben Bishop.

The parents of Bishop, Dakota Freeman and fiancee Erin McCall, aren't huge hockey fans, but when they moved to Tampa Bay two years ago, they started following hockey more. Freeman has been keeping close tabs on the Lightning all season and knows how big of a year the Lightning netminder is having, which inspired him.

"Ben (Bishop) has been like the backbone of the team for this entire season," Freeman told the Tampa Times. "...He's just an inspiration and I want my son to grow up to be that person, that type of leader."

Freeman and McCall decided on their son's name 12 days before his birth. Freeman said the name "just popped into my head" when he was praying in bed asking God for a name for his child.

"When God answers a prayer that you just asked, you can't ignore it," he said.

When baby Bishop goes home on Friday, his room will be decked out in blue, black and white.
