Report: Blackhawks alumni to play outdoors ahead of Stadium Series

The Blackhawks will once again be out in the elements this season for an outdoor game. But so will some former Blackhawks, according to a report.

ESPN 1500's Judd Zulgad tweeted Tuesday morning that the day prior to the Blackhawks' outside date with the Minnesota Wild at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis will feature an alumni game between former members of the Wild and North Stars and former members of the Blackhawks.

And the Blackhawks alumni roster sounds like it will have a few legends: Denis Savard, Steve Larmer, Al Secord and Ed Belfour.

That's a pretty sweet lineup.

The Blackhawks take on the Wild in this Stadium Series game on Feb. 21 at the home of the Minnesota Golden Gophers. It will be the Blackhawks' fourth outdoor game since 2009, when they hosted the Winter Classic on New Year's Day at Wrigley Field. They again played outside in Chicago for a Stadium Series game at Soldier Field against the Penguins in 2014, and last season they played in the Winter Classic against the Capitals in Washington, D.C.

The alumni game is reportedly going to be played Feb. 20.
