Marian Hossa was reportedly injured during Team Europe's opening exhibition game for the World Cup of Hockey on Thursday night.

The 37-year-old Blackhawks winger logged 10:47 of ice time, but did not take a shift in the third period and TVA Sports' Renaud Lavoie reported Hossa went to a hospital in Quebec City after the game for X-rays.

Head coach Ralph Krueger did not provide an update on Hossa's status after Team Europe's 4-0 loss.

It's unclear what caused him to exit early, but TSN's Aaron Ward reported it's "not serious" and ESPN's Craig Custance said Hossa is already with his teammates and will join them on their flight to Montreal.
