Bulls' Kirk Hinrich sticking around for 2015-2016

The Chicago Bulls announced that guard Kirk Hinrich picked up his $2.85 million player option Monday morning, extending his career with the Bulls as the team goes into the 2015-2016 season with new coach, Fred Hoiberg.

In accordance with team policy, the terms of his contract were not announced. 

Hinrich, 34, has played in 833 regular-season games (658 starts) and averaged 11.4 ppg, 5.0 apg, 3.0 rpg and 1.15 spg in 31.7 mpg.  Last year, Hinrich started in 22 regular-season games and averaged 2.6 ppg, 1.1 apg, 0.5 rpg and 0.30 spg in 12.6 mpg. 

He will enter his 13th NBA season this year.
