Bulls Road Ahead: Bulls look to grab playoff spot in final stretch

CSN's Mark Schanowski, Will Perdue, Kendall Gill and Vincent Goodwill talk about the final stretch of the Bulls' regular season in the latest Road Ahead, presented by Chicagoland & NW Indiana Honda Dealers.

The Bulls have five games remaining in the regular season and, for now, are in a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Four straight wins have put the Bulls in position to make the postseason, but the race remains tight. The Bulls head into a three-game road trip before finishing the regular season with two straight at home.

"I think right now you're seeing Jimmy is on a mission and the team is falling in line," Perdue said.

Up first is the New York Knicks, which recently lost Derrick Rose for the season due to a torn meniscus. Then there are road games at the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets.

The Bulls' final five games are against the four teams, the Knights, 76ers, Nets and Orlando Magic, which are eliminated from playoff contention in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls have struggled against losing teams though.

"The Bulls were a Jimmy Butler game-winner away from losing to the Brooklyn Nets," Goodwill said. "They've lost twice to the New York Knicks. They've lost recently to the Philadelphia 76ers. You can't count any game as a gimme amongst the rest of these games."
