Update: As reported by Aggrey Sam on SportsNet Central on CSN, Luol Deng is out for the Bulls-Knicks tilt in New York Thursday night.

The Bulls small forward shed some light on his recovery process from torn ligaments in his left wrist.

After Wednesdays loss in Philadelphia, Deng told CSNChicago.com that he will consult with a specialistthe same doctor who treated him for a right-wrist injury earlier in his careerabout his progress upon the team's return to Chicago, prior to the Bulls' game Saturday at Milwaukee.

While he didnt completely rule out playing Thursday, Deng said it was unlikely, though he participated in his first contact voluntary workout session Tuesday with teammate Brian Scalabrine.

Deng said he was sore following the session, as well as feeling some soreness after working out prior to Wednesdays game, but estimated that he could return to the lineup next week, if all goes well at his consultation.

Meanwhile, backup point guard C.J. Watson, coming off a right-wrist injury, said hes starting to get back into rhythm.

Yeah, a little bit, Watson said, who scored 20 points and dished out four assists while sparking the Bulls eventual failed comeback against the Sixers, told CSNChicago.com after Wednesdays loss. Just still trying to get fully healthy and still trying to help in any way possible.
