It didn't take long for Dwyane Wade's fears to be realized.

After injuring his elbow in Wednesday night's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, Wade spoke to CSNChicago.com's Vincent Goodwill and expressed his concern and hoped he could heal like Wolverine.

But his body does not have the same regenerative power as the X-Men superhero and the Bulls announced Thursday Wade is done for the regular season with a fracture in his elbow.

The Bulls woke up Thursday morning one game back of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, trailing both the Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons.

It will obviously be tougher for the Bulls to even make the playoffs without the services of Wade, who was averaging 18.6 points per game to go with 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.5 steals.

The 35-year-old Wade signed a two-year, $47 million contract prior to the season and will wind up with only 57 games played on the campaign.
