Kobe expected to play vs. Bulls Sunday

Kobe Bryant may be nursing a wrist injury, but Bulls fans can expect to see him suit up for Sunday's season-opener in L.A.

The Lakers star reportedly has a torn ligament in his right wrist and missed the team's final preseason game Wednesday night against the Clippers.

But his teammates fully expect to see their leader on the hardwood come Christmas Day.

"He'll cut his wrist off and play with one before he misses Sunday," Lakers point guard Derek Fisher said late Wednesday night.

"I think Kobe will play," center Andrew Bynum said. "It takes a lot for him to miss a game."

The 33-year-old guard averaged 25.3 points per game last season, his lowest toatl since the 2003-04 season, but it was still good enough for fifth in the NBA.
