As part of our coverage leading up to the 2016 NBA Draft we will provide profiles of more than 50 prospects, including video interviews with each player, what they're saying leading up to draft day as well as their potential fit with the Bulls.

Denzel Valentine, SG, Michigan State

6'6" | 210 lbs. | 22 years old

2015-16 stats:

19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 44.4% 3FG, 33.0 minutes

Projection:

Lottery to mid-first round

Quotable:

“I would love to play for the Bulls. Coach (Fred) Hoiberg is a young coach, he’s been in the college game. He knows me. I know him. The Bulls, in Chicago, three hours away from home, my family would be able to come to every game pretty much.”

Fit for the Bulls:

Valentine and the Bulls have been linked for quite some time. The Bulls have a need on the wing - drafting a shooting guard would push Jimmy Butler back to small forward - and the front office has gone after upperclassmen more often than not. Valentine fits the bill as someone who does a little bit of everything, as a passer, creator, shooter and defender. He would give the Bulls an extra facilitator, another shooter to space the floor and more depth on the wing. He's not overly athletic but has good size. The Bulls would have to really love someone else to pass on Valentine at No. 14.
