Dwyane Wade, LeBron James to place friendly bet on World Series between Cubs-Indians

It's a fun time to be a sports fan in Chicago and Cleveland.

Three days after the Indians won the American League Pennant, the Cubs did the same in the National League by defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers to clinch a World Series berth for the first time since 1945.

It's been 108 years since the Cubs last won a title. The Indians haven't won in 67 years.

Confident in their respective city's chances to break the long drought, former NBA teammates Dwyane Wade and LeBron James decided to place a friendly bet on the World Series.

Wade, a Chicago native who signed with the Bulls over the offseason, and James, who grew up in Akron and helped bring the Cavaliers their first NBA title in June, exchanged tweets shortly after the Cubs captured the NL pennant to validate a wager will be discussed:
