Road Ahead: Can Cubs take advantage of soft stretch of schedule?

Share

The Cubs begin a three-game series with the last-place Rockies on Monday night. It's the second of three consecutive sets against last-place teams. But so far, the Cubs haven't been able to take advantage of this softer stretch of their schedule. CSN's Vinnie Duber and JJ Stankevitz discuss in the Road Ahead, presented by Chicagoland and NW Indiana Honda Dealers.

The Cubs started the second half strong by taking two of three from the Braves in Atlanta. But since, against the 10-games-under-.500 Reds and the worst-in-the-NL Phillies, the Cubs have won just two of seven games.

More struggling clubs appear on the Cubs' schedule this week, with three games against the last-place Rockies at Wrigley Field and four against the last-place Brewers in Milwaukee.
