CSN's David Kaplan and Todd Hollandsworth talk about the Cubs' upcoming nine-game road trip in this week's edition of the Honda Road Ahead, presented by Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana Honda dealers.
The Cubs are hitting the road, and they're going out hot.
After losing a season-high three straight games, the Cubs responded by winning 10 of their last 12, eight of which came during their recent 10-game homestand.
Now, they'll look to carry over that success on the road, where they will play their next nine contests.
While the Cubs own a 17-8 record away from Chicago, their last nine-game road stint ended with a 4-5 record, so this upcoming trip gives them a chance to bounce back in a strong way.
The Cubs open in Philadelphia on Monday at 6:05 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet against a Phillies team they swept at Wrigley Field last weekend, then travel to Atlanta to take on the lowly Braves before ending against the National League East-leading Washington Nationals.
