Late Night host Stephen Colbert spent 11 years in Chicago while attending Northwestern University and training at Second City, which explains his pro-Cubs rant on Thursday night's show. Colbert carved out significant time to show how much he loves the Windy City and went into great detail about why the Curse of the Billy Goat  will come to an end this year.

"Sure, technically they still need to win 11 more games over the course of three more best-of series. But, I think I can safely say without any fear of jinxing it, they're going all the way," Colbert exclaimed. "The Cubs are gonna win the World Series!"

The former Comedy Central host went on to yell "G.O.A.T....G.O.A.T...G.O.A.T.!!!" repeatedly to support his claim that the 2015 Cubbies are the "G.O.A.T.", greatest of all time.

After Wednesday's N.L. wild-card win over the Pirates more and more fans are believing this party, may eventually lead to a much, much larger one if Colbert's prophecy is realized.
