The Cubs just gained one more fan as they march their way through October.
Well-known White Sox fan President Barack Obama is hopping on the Cubs playoff bandwagon after the North Sides won Wednesday's NL wild-card game over the Pirates.

"With the Sox Out, I'll be rooting for the Cubs to win the Series," Obama told Chicago Tribune reporter Paul Sullivan in an email.

"They're due. They've got great young players, and I'm a Maddon fan. That's an official statement."
Obama's relationship with the Cubs has been well-documented as his Twitter account follows the Bulls, Blackhawks, Bears and White Sox, but not the Cubs.
