The Chicago Sky didn't have Elena Delle Donne in Saturday's season opener, but they didn't need her.

The Sky beat the Connecticut Sun 93-70 at Allstate Arena without their star and did so with a balanced effort.

Courtney Vandersloot led the Sky with 14 points and Cappie Pondexter scored 13 points. Those were the only two Sky players to score in double figures. Jessica Breland had nine points and nine rebounds. The Sky had 11 different players score in a balanced effort.

The Sky led 45-25 at halftime and led by double figures the entire second half.
