LOS ANGELES — Candace Parker scored 21 points and had a career-high 10 assists to lead the Los Angeles Sparks over the Chicago Sky, 76-64, on Sunday.

Kristi Toliver added 16 points, Nneka Ogwumike 15 and Jantel Lavender 10 for the Sparks (8-16), who bounced back from a discouraging defeat against lowly Seattle in a game they had led by 16. Parker finished just two rebounds short of a triple-double.

The Sparks led 38-35 at halftime, then shot 9-for-12 from the floor in the third quarter to go ahead 61-47. The Sky, the league's highest-scoring team, made just four of their 16 shot attempts in the period. The lead reached 21 points in the fourth quarter.

League scoring leader Elena Delle Donne had 23 points for Chicago (15-11) but on only 7-for-19 shooting. Cappie Pondexter added 11 points.

The Sparks also won at Chicago, 88-77, on July 31 to sweep the season series.
