Buck Showalter gives Sox Park high praise ahead of Orioles-White Sox series

Buck Showalter has managed in 2,735 Major League Baseball games over the course of his 18-year coaching career. So when he finesses a compliment about your ballpark, you take that to heart.

The Baltimore Orioles manager praised Sox Park ahead of a four-game set on the South Side, commenting on the impressive cleanliness of the 26-year-old stadium.

While many South Siders probably wouldn't go as far to say they'd eat off the concourse, 35th and Shields has remained remarkably tidy since it opened in 1991.

The White Sox are also no strangers to managers' opinions on the state of stadiums. Ozzie Guillen, who led the Sox to the 2005 World Series, would frequently talk down on Wrigley Field, essentially calling it a rat-filled dump.

Let the great stadium debate continue.
