Fresh off a seven-inning no-hitter against the Cubs' Double-A affiliate, White Sox prospect Frankie Montas is continuing to get recognized around baseball.

On Thursday, Montas was named to the World roster for the 2015 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game. The game will take place on July 12 at 2:00 p.m. in Cincinnati.

Montas, 22, has started 12 games in Double-A with the Birmingham Barons, going 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA and 48 strikeouts over 60 innings.

The right-hander was acquired by the White Sox in 2013 in a three-way trade deadline deal that saw Jake Peavy go to the Boston Red Sox, Jose Iglesias go to the Detroit Tigers and Avisail Garcia also come to the White Sox.

Montas was scheduled to be on the World roster last year but an injury kept him out of the game. Second baseman Micah Johnson was the team's representative at last year's game.

White Sox Triple-A manager Joel Skinner will be part of the U.S. team coaching staff.
