In his quest to acquire every member of MLB Pipeline's Top 100 prospects, White Sox GM Rick Hahn's plan came one step closer to fruition on Thursday morning.

In a blockbuster trade that nobody in Chicago saw coming, besides two Reddit users, the White Sox gained two Top 75 prospects in their haul from the Cubs for pitcher Jose Quintana.

Joining the White Sox farm system are MLB's No. 8 prospect in outfielder Eloy Jimenez and No. 63 prospect in starting pitcher Dylan Cease.

The White sox are now tied with the Atlanta Braves for the most (9) MLB Pipeline Top 100 prospects.

Jimenez and Cease join second baseman Yoan Moncada (No. 1), pitcher Michael Kopech (No. 11), outfielder Luis Robert (No. 23), pitcher Lucas Giolito (No. 28), pitcher Reynaldo Lopez (No. 36), pitcher Carson Fulmer (No. 59) and Zack Collins (No. 68) in the stable of White Sox MLB Pipeline Top 100 prospects.

The current list doesn't factor in any of the players the White Sox selected in the 2017 MLB Draft, nor does it include current prospects in the midst of a standout season like pitcher Alec Hansen, Dane Dunning, Jordan Guerrero or Spencer Adams.

The White Sox could add even more Top 100 prospects before the deadline with trade chips like David Robertson, Todd Frazier, Anthony Swarzak, Melky Cabrera, James Shields and Tommy Kahnle.
