Sox draft pick does a backflip after being selected

White Sox first-round pick Courtney Hawkins is certainly athletic -- the prep outfielder, who also was an ace pitcher for Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas, entered June with 11 home runs and 17 stolen bases. As part of his highlight reel, MLB Network ran a clip of Hawkins doing an impressive backflip.

He was asked about it after being selected, and the following may have made some members of the Sox front office cringe:

Luckily, Hawkins pulled off the backflip without a hitch, but Hawkins' backflips will soon go the way of Mark Buehrle's tarp dives.

"Mr. Williams said no more back flips, so no more it is," Hawkins said on a conference call Monday.
