Which White Sox will make the cut?

NEW YORK --- White Sox manager Robin Ventura thinks several of his players are worthy of a selection when All-Star rosters are announced on Sunday.

Though he knows resting for four days can do players a world of good, Ventura, a two-time All-Star, thinks the reward is worth the extra trip to Kansas City.

First baseman Paul Konerko, catcher A.J. Pierzynski, pitchers Chris Sale and Jake Peavy, and designated hitter Adam Dunn are all worthy of a selection, Ventura said.

There are guys having great years that definitely deserve consideration and could be on there, Ventura said. Every year is different. Guys get left off for one reason or another. We have quite a few guys that could be on there. Again, its a great game. Its a great experience for guys to go. I know a lot of talk about Chris, hes earned it and there are a lot of great things that go with being in an All-Star game, the experience of it and being one of the best in the game. He deserves that. Theyve all done stuff to get us where were at the top of their positions.
