White Sox to call up top prospect Carson Fulmer

The White Sox are calling up top pitching prospect Carson Fulmer ahead of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels, sources confirmed to CSNChicago.com White Sox Insider Dan Hayes. Barstool Sports' Dave Williams first reported Fulmer being called up by the White Sox.

Fulmer is expected to pitch out of the bullpen, and will take Scott Carroll's spot on the 40-man roster.

The 22-year-old Vanderbilt product owns a 4-9 record with a 4.76 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in 17 starts with Double-A Birmingham this season.

Fulmer was drafted by the White Sox with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft.
